Do not I repeat DO NOT pay any amount of money to join a "secret shopper" company. The legitimate companies do not charge a fee for their services. They are paid by the companies that hire them to do the investigations.

Do your homework and there are some legitimate website message boards that have some good information.

Yes, mystery shopping is a legitimate business. There are a lot of scams on the Internet so I wouldn't go there but once in while there are ads in the papers for mystery shoppers and if you have to meet them for an interview chances are they are legit. Companies hire you to shop in stores to monitor how the staff treat you and will get you to try buying stuff like cigarettes to see if they ask for ID, check for sanitation, things like that. Some pay you a wage outright and some let you keep the merchandise you purchase for free as payment.

YES!!. I signed up for it a couple years ago, and paid $25 dollars or somewhere around there...Then, there is this website you go to and fill out your personal info about being a personal shopper. They give you a list of companies, and most of them have "no mystery shoppers" listed on their sites. I never got any emails for jobs. So, I would not recommend it.

In general it is not good to follow random banner links. Look for other ways to try to become a mystery shopper, because links are most likely a scam or have many, many strings attached.

It is for real!!! NOT A SCAM!! My husband and I have both been "mystery shoppers" in the past..would still be doing it, but we moved and their is none available in our area.....DON'T pay to join one...there is a lot out there where you can start for free......It is fun..

From listening to the ads on the radio.. I think it is a scam! If you listen you have to pay a fee to get started. Any "program" that requires a fee is a scam.. if you also listen closely they say something like you may be able to keep thousands of dollars in purchases.. well you may be able to, is also a sign that this is a scam... I would recommend staying away from it...

Im not 100% sure, because I have never done this, but I think it is some sort of scam. Maybe someone else can be more helpful than I am

It is real --- but you wont get rich doing it-----its better as a part time thing ----and it is a lot of fun too --- attention to detail and a good memory are a must --- and also u must love shopping --------------------and NEVER use any company that asks u to pay them a fee for getting you work --
